oral presentation and defence

The student prepares an oral presentation of the master’s thesis (guideline: 15 minutes). Afterwards, there is time for questions from the jury (guideline: 30 minutes). The oral presentation and defence takes place at the University of Antwerp.

The oral presentation and defence of the Master’s Thesis will take place in the last week of the examination period of the  second term. Students who wish to defend their master’s thesis during the first term, will have to request this through the HelpDesk. Given the limited availability during the third term (second examination period), the scheduling of the defences in the third term will be determined on an ad hoc basis.

For the academic year 2024-2025, the defence dates are:

• First term: (not applicable)
• Second term: Monday June 23 and June 24, 2025
• Third term (second examination period): between Monday August 18, 2025, and Saturday September 6, 2025

For the academic year 2025-2026, the defence dates are:

• First term: on the student’s request
• Second term: Monday June 22 and June 23, 2026
• Third term (second examination period): between Monday August 17, 2026, and Saturday September 5, 2026
