The University of Antwerp provides the legally required work-related accident insurance for the intern within the framework of the internship activities. In case of incidents, accidents, risks, illnesses or any other event which have occurred during the period of the internship and which could affect the student’s physical or psychological integrity, the student shall immediately inform the internship coordinator and the Health & Safety Department of the University of Antwerp. A detailed written account of the facts will be forwarded to the Health & Safety Department of the University of Antwerp within 48 hours (preventiedienst@uantwerpen.be or 0032 3 265 2660).
The students are also covered by the Civil Liability insurance policy and the Physical Accident Insurance Policy for Students of the University of Antwerp.
Only when the internship application has been completed via Mobility Online and approved by the Faculty of Science (University of Antwerp), the student is covered by the necessary insurances.
