Insurance

Each Master’s thesis includes a research internship. Only when the research internship registration has been completed via Mobility Online and approved by the Faculty of Science (University of Antwerp), the student is covered by the necessary insurances.

 The University of Antwerp provides the legally required work-related accident insurance for the student within the framework of the internship activities. In case of incidents, accidents, risks, illnesses or any other event which have occurred during the period of the research internship and which could affect the student’s physical or psychological integrity, the student shall immediately inform the project coordinator and the Health & Safety Department of the University of Antwerp and of the host research group.

 The students are also covered by the Civil Liability insurance policy and the Physical Accident Insurance Policy for Students of the University of Antwerp.
